Received a phonecall from bro, who told me that classes have been cancelled cuz there was some power outage or sth liddat'. Thinking it was a joke, i took a trip down to uni to confirm it for myself.
And lo and behold, the entire uni was engulfed in darkness. And not just the campus centre, but the WHOLE university.
Apparently, a flooding occurred in Menzies Building (tallest building in Monash), which kinda screwed up the power, but other stories have also been passed around, such as the transformer blew up and stuff. Also, two staff members who were trying to rectify the problem got themselves a nasty electric shock, and had to be admitted to hospital.
As of such, students were given another 2 days extension to their Easter break
But it didnt turn out for the better, cuz the power failure extended to the Halls, the Flats, and MY APARTMENT. wad was even more suay was that my keycard expired that day and hence, i was locked out for 4 hours, in which i spent that time idling with my frens in the pool room shooting balls in the darkness
Well, the power has been restored, and the staff members have recovered, and the mundane school routine is back to normal.
Ah and alas, i have decided to drop the 3.6k word Torts Assignment. Not because i did not know how to do it, but rather, it was seriously encroaching into my revision and my sanity, and the amount of research that was required was tremendous, considering it was a 45% assignment, and required at least a month and more to finish it. Hence, after a night of pondering, i have decided to take a stab at the 90% Torts exam for the THIRD time.
THis time, i shall not fail it
and now... i should start on my Evidence assignment -_____-
