death note 2 is DA BOMB!!!
for u readers who have absolutely no idea wad DEATH NOTE is..... man u guys suck... =D
basically its abt this super smart guy (Light) who found this black notebook that was (supposedly) intentionally dropped by the Death God that owned it (Ryuk). Wad happens is that, if a name is written in the book with the image of that person in the writer's mind, and a cause of death is written, that person WILL die in that manner of death specified. If the method of death is not specified, the victim will die of a heart attack.
Now Light here is angry with the world, bc criminals who committed dirty crimes were set free, unprosecuted, and hence he decided to kill all of them off
While Light was busy killing people, Ryuk came to see him, and told him all about the notebook, as well as the consequences of the user of the notebook (if he dies, he wld neither go to heaven or hell)
Citizens of the world realised that the crime rate had dropped amazingly due to the deaths of the criminals, and hence they believed that there was indeed a saviour of the world who does justice to criminals, hence they named that 'saviour' KIRA, which turned out to be Light. (obviously the ppl do not know the identity of KIRA)
The police are dumbfounded, cuz they dunno the identity of the person who had been killing off the criminals. Hence, they hired this damn smart detective, known only as 'L', to trace the perpatrator
..and hence results in the two of them trying to outsmart each other in a battle of wit and intellect..
in short.. go watch the movie (actually go watch the anime first... gives u better hindsight of the whole thing)
